Ambient magazine is a new electronic magazine that was inspired
by Macintosh hypercard stacks of the same nature that are distributed on
the Internet and other sources. It contains the same basic structure as
these stacks and will delve into the same basic topics as popular
subculture magazines like Mondo 2000.

Ambient magazine will be an electronic forum that will let you
write about your favorite topics with these themes:

                Philosophy Technology Art Music

Topics that may be included under these categories are:

               Appropriation Chaos Industrial Cyberpunk

Ambient is a multimedia magazine that will include digitized
sound and graphics, and will allow the author to imbed graphics and
sound into the text. If you do include extra files, please uuencode
them and attach them to a message, or write lithium@ripco.com for
alternatives to uuencoding. Sound files can be in Windows Wav,
Macintosh Sound, or Raw formats. Graphics should preferably be in Gif
format.

Issue #1 came out on 9/29, and you can pick it up by FTP at
hyperreal.com. Look for ambientm.zip in the /zines/ambientm directory.
Issue #2 is due out on Christmas 1994, with more than 2 Megabytes of
text, graphics, and sound. Please support ambient magazine by
submitting articles about your favorite topic, or by simply picking it
up. It's interesting, and best of all, it's free. Thanks.
